ON MINISTRIES MEETING
The first meeting of the Council on Ministries for 2007 met January 9th. Many positive suggestions were made for the coming year. SInce this is the working arm of the church, it is important that there is a clear picture of where we are going and who is responsible for each task.
Enclosed are two papers. The first is a list of all the members of the Council on Ministries. The second is a grouping of all the members in committees and sub-committees. Please review these groupings and be able to make suggestions and additions at the March meeting. Some appointments do not have committees. As a result of this grouping, only one member of a committee may be required to attend the meetings provided that person has a report from those responsible on his/her committee. Some members may have more than one responsibility and want to attend the meetings. ALL ARE WELCOME.
At the January meeting, each committee chairman was asked to do the following:
Have a list of objectives for 2007-08.
Have a list of sub-committees under their head committee.
Have a list of the members of each sub-committee.
This will enable the Council on Ministries to have a vision of the yearly plans for the church and who is responsible for each activity.
Please feel free to bring any suggestions that fresh ideas to help our church run smoothly and "Grow in God's Grace" for the year 2007-08.
All meetings of the Council on Ministries are held on the 2nd Tuesday of the odd months at 7:00 p.m. The next meeting will be March 13th at 7:00 p.m. In Christ's Love, and
